PITTSBURGH. Nov. 5, 2015 — Allegiant (NASDAQ: ALGT) today celebrates the start of new, nonstop jet service from Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) to Orlando, Allegiant’s fifth destination from Pittsburgh. The company, known for its exceptional travel deals, is offering one-way fares as low as $49*.

Since beginning flights from Pittsburgh earlier this year, the company’s success has spurred the addition of flights to Myrtle Beach and Orlando. In August, the company announced that Pittsburgh will become Allegiant’s 13th aircraft base by basing an Airbus A319 at the airport. When it opens in December, the base will employ up to 40 pilots, flight attendants and airport service personnel.

“Orlando is another great addition to our portfolio of vacation destinations from Pittsburgh,” said Jude Bricker, Allegiant Travel Company senior vice president of planning. “With these new flights, Pittsburgh travelers will now have even more nonstop options to central Florida along with Allegiant’s ultra-low fares.”

The new flights will operate twice weekly between Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) and Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB). Flight days, times and the lowest fares can be found only at Allegiant.com.

“The start of the Orlando / Sanford route marks the fifth nonstop destination Allegiant is serving from Pittsburgh International Airport,” said Christina Cassotis, Allegheny County Airport Authority CEO. “We are very happy to see our partnership continue to grow, and we are excited for what the future holds as we move forward.”

Allegiant brings a unique travel option to the Pittsburgh community. Focusing on low-cost leisure travel, the company provides customers with low base fares averaging nearly half the cost of the average domestic round-trip fare. The innovative business model has allowed the company to grow from one aircraft and one route just over a decade ago, to offering convenient, affordable service in over 100 communities nationwide.

“Allegiant has recognized that Pittsburgh is a growing region that can support more air service,” Allegheny County Executive Rich Fitzgerald said. “The airline’s decision to add jobs here with its upcoming crew base is evidence of that. We look forward to building on our partnership with Allegiant.”

Located in the heart of central Florida, Orlando is home to the world’s most exciting theme parks and has plenty of shopping, dining, outdoor activities and entertainment. Allegiant partners with more than 60 of the Orlando area’s most exciting hotel properties, provides low-cost car rental service through its partnership with Alamo Rent a Car, and offers great deals on activities such as theme park tickets, dinner shows and day tours. Pittsburgh travelers can book their entire Orlando vacation for less by visiting Allegiant.com.
