Reunion Resort
A private, exclusive oasis in the heart of the most popular vacation destination in the world
By Steven Skelley and Thomas Routzong
Imagine a private, exclusive oasis in the heart of the most popular vacation destination in the world that is family friendly, affordable, and filled with amenities that urban tower hotels can’t or don’t even try to offer. Such a place exists. It is the 2300 acre Reunion Resort in Kissimmee, Florida.
Reunion Resort in the Kissimmee/Orlando tourist destination hotspot is not your normal, run of the mill, urban tower hotel. With 2300 sprawling acres of golf courses, swimming pools, tennis courts, restaurants, a spa, and every kind of rental option you may need for your dream vacation, Reunion Resort is unique, exclusive and spacious. You’ll never feel crowded here.
We spoke with Public Relations Manager Christine Corson as she gave us a tour of the property during our stay.
Do you love to golf? Reunion Resort offers Signature Design courses by three of golf’s greatest legends: Jack Nicklaus, Tom Watson and Arnold Palmer. And Annika Sorenstam opened her first golf school at Reunion.
“We host a lot of golf getaways. You must be a member or a guest here to use our golf courses and pools. We are an exclusive community. We are a great golf vacation destination here in the Disney area. We are 15 minutes from Disney. You can see the Disney fireworks from here every night,” Christine Corson told us.
Accommodations at Reunion Resort include villas and suites ranging from 750 to 2,200 square feet. Unlike standard single-room, multi-bed hotel rooms, Reunion’s multi bedroom villas and homes allow you to experience resort living while still enjoying the comforts of home. We stayed in a three bedroom, three bath, two story villa that could have easily accommodated six people.
“We are very family focused. Families love having space. Our rentals are very much like apartments. You have privacy, a large kitchen area, a washer and dryer. Guests can grocery shop, stock their fridge and save money by not eating out every meal if they want. You get all of our amenities – lots of space, washer, dryer, multiple swimming pools, etc. for the same rate you’d pay for a small room with two beds in some other hotel,” Corson said.
Reunion Resort has 360 resort style accommodations ranging from luxury suites,
and condos, to multi-room villas and private vacation homes.
Want to pamper yourself? The Spa at Reunion Resort offers massage therapy, skin and body treatments and nail services with the intimacy and warmth of home.
“The Spa is not your normal hotel spa. Ours is in a home. It is a totally different feel. It is very comfortable,” Corson said.
There are also a large variety of activities and amenities for families:
* 5-acre Water Park
* 1,000-ft. lazy river with rock structures and multiple waterfalls
* 150-foot flume slide
* Kids interactive water playground with twisting slides
* Wading pool
* 350 gallon splash bucket
* Water games
* Beach volleyball court
* 11th floor rooftop pool
* An activity hub housing a 75-x-45-ft sloped-entry pool
* Two spa tubs
* Outdoor billiards
* Ping pong
* Fitness center
* Game room
* 6 hydro-grid clay tennis courts and Tennis Shop

“We have a very family friendly vibe,” Corson told us.
Dining Options include:
* ELEVEN
So-be style rooftop lounge Eleven serves an eclectic fusion of new world and contemporary American cuisines. Open afternoons and evenings, Eleven fuses eclectic cuisine with panoramic views of Orlando, where Disney fireworks
displays can be seen nightly.
* FORTE
Authentic Italian Bistro blending seasonal ingredients indigenous to the Tuscan region with classic preparations that are reflective of Italy’s family style dining. In a warm and welcoming atmosphere, homemade pastas and brick oven pizzas are expertly prepared and complemented with an expansive wine list featuring a signature Italian regional section.
* THE GRILL AT THE WATER PARK (ALL-AMERICAN/CASUAL)
All links-side breakfast/lunch/dinner dining option with golf-course views, featuring sandwiches, wraps and salads, as well as heartier entrees.
* THE COVE AT SEVEN EAGLES
Poolside café overlooking the Palmer golf course featuring a menu of light bites, smoothies and a full bar with tropical libations.
* GRANDE LOBBY AND SUSHI BAR
Cocktails, appetizers and freshly prepared sushi in an elegant setting.
* THE CLUBHOUSE
Clubhouse featuring American regional cuisine served in a casual and comfortable setting. The Reunion Clubhouse provides you with American comfort food in warm and friendly atmosphere with speedy service.
We found Reunion Resort rates to be very reasonable. Why rent a crowded room in a noisy, urban tower hotel when you can rent a luxurious multi-room villa at Reunion?
“We have special Senior rates and Military rates. We have a lot of seniors and their grandchildren and senior golf getaway guests,” Corson said.
Reunion Resort in Kissimmee, Florida is perfect for an Orlando area vacation. Whether you are planning a guy’s golf getaway, a ladies’ golf getaway, or a family vacation, Reunion Resort is a private, exclusive oasis in the heart of the most popular vacation destination in the world.
