Kennedy Space Center & Cape Canaveral Launch Schedule for 2015
By Steven Skelley & Thomas Routzong
Florida’s Space Coast is home to some of the most exciting space exploration history the United States has ever seen. Millions of people have traveled from around the world to witness those rare brief moments of powerful technology and human ingenuity combining to drive thousands of pounds of spacecraft up off the launch pad, beyond the pull of gravity and out into space. In the history of our planet, it is a thrill that relatively few have been fortunate enough to experience.
Sunny Harbor Publishing’s (publisher of Florida Cruise And Travelers Magazine, Family Travelers Magazine, Gay Travelers Magazine, Senior Cruise And Travelers Magazine, and the best of HOMETOWN HEROES florida) owner Tom Routzong was born in Brevard County on Florida’s Space Coast and was part of the research team at Kennedy Space Center during the Apollo 11 program which made history by landing the first man on the moon.
“It was a very exciting time. The sight, sound and feel of a launch is something you never forget,” Routzong said.
2015 is filled with exciting opportunities to view launches. Whether you choose to watch from a public site along the river, or from your nearby hotel or from special access at Kennedy Space Center, this is your opportunity to experience in person something that few people in human history have experienced.
