Located at the tip of Cape Cod, Massachusetts, the delightful seaside village of Provincetown has been a haven for those seeking freedom, diversity and beauty for 400 years.
Provincetown is a favorite destination of family and gay travelers who enjoy the welcoming attitude and diverse culture.
It should be no surprise that this historic magnet for creativity and expression offers an eclectic choice of dining options for every taste and budget.
“We have great restaurants here,” Anthony Fuccillo, Provincetown’s Director of Tourism, told us. “We have 60 restaurants and the food is as diverse as the people.”
Fuccillo is not exaggerating. During our stay in Provincetown, we felt the same way – Ptown offers something for everyone.
The incredibly easily walkable Commercial Street, which runs parallel to the harbor shoreline, is also known as Restaurant Row. If you are looking for dining options ranging everywhere from white tablecloth dining to quaint brunch spots to beachside takeout, to gourmet hot dogs to creative burgers to delicious bakeries to sidewalk cafes, this is the place!
And, every Saturday afternoon during the summer season, there is a farmer’s market on Ryder Street where you can find fresh local produce and fish.
How fresh is their produce? Provincetown has a community garden with 58 garden plots!
