When we visit Orlando theme parks and attractions, we like to stay close by. It’s also a bonus if the hotel offers shuttle service to the parks. On a recent visit to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, we stayed at the Comfort Inn Maingate in Kissimmee. The newly upgraded hotel was comfortable, affordable, close to theme parks and 100% smoke free.

Why is Kissimmee, Florida such an excellent travel destination?
Kissimmee, Florida has something for everyone, whether it be families, sports teams or group travelers.
With its close proximity to Orlando’s major adventure and theme parks, as well as hotspots such as Osceola Heritage Park, Orlando Vineland Premium Outlets and Old Town – Kissimmee is the perfect place for a vacation in Central Florida.

Keeping true to the Comfort brand tagline, Rested.Set.Go., the Comfort Inn Maingate offers several amenities catering to families, sports teams or group travelers to ensure they are rested and ready for anything in the Orlando / Kissimmee / Celebration areas.
What amenities does Comfort Inn Maingate offer?
The Comfort Inn Maingate offers included scheduled transportation to all of the renowned neighboring theme park attractions and has earned Walt Disney World Good Neighbor Hotel status.
As with all Comfort brand hotels, guests can enjoy free Wi-Fi and a complimentary hearty and hot breakfast featuring the brand’s signature hot waffle, as well as several healthy options such as fruit, wholesome cereal and Greek yogurt with topping such as dried fruit, nuts and granola.
The Comfort brand is also in the process of going 100% smoke-free, which would make it the largest smoke-free hotel brand in the U.S. The Comfort Inn Maingate is already 100% smoke free.
Guests who stay at Comfort Inn Maingate will enjoy RAIO, a custom line of hair and bath products developed exclusively for the brand, in addition to plusher, larger terrycloth towels in all guest bathrooms.
Additional complimentary features include microwaves, refrigerators and full high definition television in each room, a heated outdoor pool and spa, weekday newspaper, business center, access to the fitness center and guest laundry services.

Originally opened as a Comfort Inn in 2011, the Comfort Inn Maingate includes the addition of “family-friendly” rooms complete with bunk beds in the alcove area, brand new landscaping, new furniture, décor and carpeting to the main lobby, an expanded and redecorated breakfast and coffee area, as well the expansion and addition of a sundeck to the pool.
