Busch Gardens Tampa Bay Florida’s Sesame Street Safari of Fun Kids Weekends

In exchange for a review, my family and I were given free tickets to attend the Busch Gardens Tampa Bay Florida’s Sesame Street Safari of Fun Kids’ Weekend and we were so excited to see how fun it was for all ages!
Sesame Street Safari of Fun at Busch Gardens is a big celebration of friendship and has lots of hands-on activities, games and fun Sesame Street-themed rides for little ones and their families to enjoy all year long. Busch Gardens also has really fun Kids’ Weekends every weekend from May 5-May 20 where families can enjoy special Sesame Street-themed events.
Our kindergartener’s favorite part of the Sesame Street Safari of Fun area was the three-story high treehouse complete with rope bridges (don’t worry, they were totally safe and enclosed in safety nets) that led to a three-story high play area.
He and several other young guests played and giggled together in the play area for over an hour! There was plenty of seating in the shade for parents on every level in the play area and I think all of us parents were happy to relax for a little bit and watch our kids have fun.
I recommend bringing a swimsuit for your child or a change of clothes because also in the Sesame Street Safari of Fun area is a big splash park and your little one will have the best time cooling off and playing in the bubblers, geysers, jets and dumping buckets!
While some of the younger guests may be too small to ride some of the other rides throughout Busch Gardens theme park, you will be happy to know that they have kid-sized rides in the Sesame Street area that your little one will love! Kids can soar with Grover on his plane through the Sahara, splash with Zoe-Patra and the Hippos of Nile, swing though the jungle on Rosita’s Djembe Fly-Away and more.
In addition to the activities and rides, there are character parades, dance parties, story time, and live shows with your favorite Sesame Street friends! Your kids may be surprised when they see some famous faces mingling with the guests in the Sesame Street Safari of Fun area. While we were there we met Bert & Ernie, Big Bird, Cookie Monster, Elmo and the Count! They offered photo opportunities and encouraged everyone to dance and sing along with them and learn about the value of friendship.
You can also purchase a fun lunch with Elmo and friends at the delicious Sesame Street Character Dining lunch buffet. Tickets for the lunch range from $14.99 to $19.99 per person and are available for purchase on the Busch Gardens website.
